Clearview Reads: Community Scavenger Hunt

Beloved fictional heroine and amateur sleuth, Nancy Drew, turned 90 in 2020. To celebrate, this year’s Clearview Reads includes all things mystery.

Help Nancy Drew and her friends solve the case of the rightful inheritance — right here in Windsor — through a community scavenger hunt! Solve the clues left from Ida to find what she has hidden for Frank. The hunt kicks off at the Old Railcar in Boardwalk Park, which will lead you to 10 stops in downtown Windsor that will help you decode secret messages.

Return to the library after your hunt to receive the final clue. All of the messages will come together to reveal where Ida has left her will. The final clue station will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 22; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 23; and 9 a.m. to noon April 24.

Complete the final clue and visit the Friends & Foundation table in the Windsor-Severance Library by noon April 24 to be entered into a drawing for prizes.

The prize winners will be revealed during the Anne Hillerman author talk at 7:30 p.m. April 24. Purchase of the Scavenger Hunt includes entry to the virtual talk with mystery author Anne Hillerman at 7:30 p.m. April 24 on Zoom. You’ll receive a Zoom link via email 24 hours prior to the event.

For additional, no-cost mystery-themed events, visit the Clearview Library District website.

Proceeds from this event will help further the library’s mission, providing additional financial support for key initiatives. Learn more.
